Clarinet

Count Us in provides free clarinet lessons for young people aged 10 to 14 years. Group lessons are held once a week in Colaiste Chu Chulainn, Dundalk. Participants also receive an instrument on loan.

The programme is suitable for beginners but may also be of interest to young people who have a foundation in piano.

Participants are provided with a clarinet on loan for the duration of the programme to participate in free weekly group lessons.

Expert Tutor: Bernie Balfe

Bernie Balfe is a clarinetist, saxophonist and vocalist, with an eclectic musical experience ranging from Classical and Choral, to Jazz and Rock.

As an educator with Music Generation Louth she works as an instrumental and musicianship instructor.

Bernie holds a BMus Perf Hons degree from DIT and an MA in Music from DkIT.
